"Sisterhood is many things. It's a warm smile on a cold and rainy day, a friendly hug, a cheerful hello… It's all that a good and lasting friendship is, only better. It's treasured. It's sacred. It's Knowing that there will always be someone there for you. It's dreams shared, and goals achieved. It's counting on others and being counted on. It is real."

SISTER TO BRAG ABOUT:

Bonese Collins Turner is an accomplished artist, designer, educator, amazing lady and someone that we are all proud to know! She was initiated into Delta Gamma at NU chapter, University of Idaho. She is kind and has the ability to brighten your day with just a smile! As an artist, Bonese primarily deals with drawing, painting and printmaking. She has won numerous awards for her art and has even been exhibited in the White House! Bonese has been featured in many books and recently was included in, "100 Artists of the West Coast II" by Tina Skinner. In addition to all of that, she has served as a juror on numerous national exhibitions! To learn more about this amazing DG and to see her art, check out her website!

Here she is on the Cover of a 1951 issue of The ANCHORA! This is what it said on the inside:

“COVERGIRL is Bonese Collins, Nu, DG beauty with brains. Bonese not only was attendant to Idaho's 1949 and 1950 Homecoming queens but also received a plaque in recognition of having achieved the highest average for freshman women. She's a university band majorette and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, and her list of campus activities is long. Sharing the cover with Bonese is--of course, you recognize Hannah. “

We will pay your first year of membership when you come to two or more events, with the Zada Fund!

One of our lovely founders, Zada Evans Folz, created "The Zada Fund". This fund was formed to help pay the first year of Alumnae Dues to a Delta Gamma in our area who may be reluctant to join the ranks of the alumnae world.

We recently lost Zada at the age of 103. In honor of this amazing sister, we will honor her wishes to continue the "Zada Fund". If you have any questions about this fund, please contact our treasurer Christy Alben at Christy@sfvdg.org.
